Bird's-eye Speedwell can be found in disturbed areas, such as along roadsides, lawns and fields. Its flowers are bright blue with dark stripes and almost white centers. The flowers are small (8–12 mm wide), and are borne on pedicels 1.3–4 cm long. The flowers grow from the axils of leaves, which are similar in shape and size to foliage leaves (though the upper are sometimes somewhat smaller). The leaves have short petioles, are pubescent, and usually have more than 7 small teeth or crenations.

Bird's-eye Speedwell is an annual, native to Europe.
