Mid-Atlantic fruit ripe: June - October

Sweet Autumn Clematis is a invasive perennial vine. It is somewhat similar in appearance to the native C. virginiana (Virgin's-bower), but has smooth-edged leaves unlike the toothed leaves of Virgin's-bower.
