Silverleaf Maple, Silver Maple

Family: Sapindaceae (Maple family)

Mid-Atlantic bloom time: February - April
Mid-Atlantic fruit ripe: April - June

Silverleaf Maple is a fairly fast-growing tree and is commonly cultivated. The underside of its leaves are silvery-whitened; when the wind blows, it gives the tree a silver-like appearance, hence its common name.
